Delicious Dinner Options in Denver

There’s a lot to see in Denver, Colorado – the Rocky Mountains, Red Rocks Park, the Denver Zoo, we could go on and on. But this article isn’t about the prettiest venues, it’s about the most delicious dining options in Denver.

Dinner in Denver is very open-ended. Want to order an omelet at 8 pm? Go for it! Craving a beer at 12 pm? Denver will oblige you. Use a luggage storage service in Denver to stash your extra bags, then visit the following restaurants.

Albina by the Sea

Seafood is extremely popular in Dever. Clams and oysters in particular are staple foods in most households. Albina by the Sea is a vintage-style restaurant located at the Denver Milk Market. Everything, from this restaurant’s name to the menu, was inspired by the founder’s grandmother.

Albina by the Sea offers a healthy selection of seafood. Guests can chow down on calamari or savor rare shrimp dishes. Most folks visit Albina during lunch and dinner time. A visit to this establishment can make any evening special.

The Capital Grille

When you’re searching for delicious dinner options in Denver, don’t count out restaurant chains. Certain establishments offer world-class food despite their hastened pace. The Capital Grille fits that bill; one of their restaurants is located at Larimer Street.

The menu is full of attractive seafood dishes. Some of the Capital Grille’s most popular items include:

  • Jumbo Lump Crab Cocktail
  • Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers
  • Lobster and Crab Cakes

Guests can order meals for themselves or the entire table. There’s a reason why the Capital Grille has restaurants in more than 25 states.

Corinne

A hotel is only as good as its restaurant. Okay, not really, but having convenient access to great food is always a major plus. Anyone staying at  Le Méridien Hotel is in luck; Corinne is just a short walk (and possibly an elevator ride) away from your room.

Corinne specializes in New American cuisine and upscale dining experiences. “Classy” is the one word we’d use to describe Corinne. Classic dishes Crab Croquettes and Filet Mignon have been updated for contemporary tastes. The house rolls are also a must.

Fruition Restaurant

It’s one thing for a meal to taste good. It’s another when you feel good after eating. You’ve got more energy, your hair seems bouncier, and your mood is sky-high. Fruition Restaurant aims to make food that tastes good, feels good, and is good for your body.

This organic eatery is the brainchild of Chef Alex Seidel. The venue’s small size just means that dining experiences are less crowded, more exclusive, and more intimate. Go for the Pickled Shrimp & Watermelon if you want something light for dinner.

Grill and Vine

Airport food is always a risk. On one hand, it’s convenient and accessible. On the other hand, quality tends to take a back seat in favor of quantity. Grill and Vine is a restaurant at the Denver International Airport that’s well worth the risk.

It’s actually one of Hotel Westin’s flagship eateries. Jalapeno-Bison Sausage & Potato Flatbread and Grilled Portobello Sandwich are just a couple of items on their menu. Grill & Vine gives you something to look forward to.

Humboldt Kitchen + Bar

Humboldt Kitchen + Bar features a chef-driven menu and critically lauded dining atmosphere. Seriously, this establishment has won numerous awards for its food and its service. Chef-driven menus are great because each dish is a house specialty.

Humboldt is big on seafood, as to be expected from any self-respecting Denver restaurant. However, their dishes incorporate unique New American twists. Is the food pricey? No doubt. But Humboldt is well worth the expense when it comes to fine dining.

Izakaya Den

Seafood is an integral part of many South Asian diets. Japan invented sushi, after all. It wasn’t until relatively recently that the rest of the world embraced this dish. Sure, you can find sushi at the gas station. But Izakaya Den is the best place for phenomenal Japanese seafood.

Izakaya Den is actually a sake den, first and foremost. Many visitors come here for Happy Hour whenever they get the chance. Izakaya, however, is a very flexible establishment; sushi, sashimi, and various rolls are prepared to perfection everyday.

Moonlight Diner

Dinner doesn’t have to be complicated; sometimes, a juicy burger, crispy fries, and a milkshake are all you need. The Moonlight Diner is about as uncomplicated as it gets, and we mean that in a good way. This restaurant’s entire aesthetic harkens back to the 1950s.

Go inside, and you’ll swear that you’ve traveled back in time a few decades. It’s all neon signs, checkered floors, and cushy booths in terms of the decor. Order breakfast, lunch, BBQ specials, burgers, soups, salads, and sandwiches at your leisure.

Stoic & Genuine

Fine dining events are supposed to be special; whether you’re attending a gala event with upscale food or you’re stopping by a 5-star restaurant, you want your meal to be unforgettable. Stoic & Genuine offers precisely that; unforgettable meals.

Part of what makes Stoic & Genuine so amazing is their open kitchen; there’s something enchanting about watching professional chefs work their magic. Stoic & Genuine has a menu that is decked out with decadent dishes; they’ve got a raw food bar, delicious desserts, and a special “Oyster Hour” promotion.

Root Down

Locally sourced ingredients make all the difference. In fact, the term “locavore” refers exclusively to restaurants that use these types of items. Root Down brings locavore cuisine to Denver. It’s actually one of the most popular spots at the Denver International Airport.
As you’ve probably guessed by the name, Root Down is a very relaxed restaurant. The atmosphere is always cheery and airy. As for the menu, expect the unexpected; Root Down combines entrees from around the world. If you’ve never had a Colombian Grilled Cheese sandwich, now’s the time.
